Project Objectives
Main objective:
To identify the intentions of milk producers regarding the adoption of smart, precision, and digital technologies that enable more efficient resource use and mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change.
Specific objectives:
- To assess the intention to adopt modern technologies on dairy farms using the TAM and TOE theoretical frameworks
- To establish a virtual demonstration pasture to showcase the benefits of new technologies
- To develop an extended TAM model incorporating the factor of risk propensity
- To determine the effects and relationships between factors influencing the adoption of new technologies among milk producers using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)
- To compare the characteristics of producers who adopt new technologies with those who do not
- To examine differences in readiness to adopt technologies among producers with respect to geographic region and farm size
- To formulate policy recommendations to support digital transformation in agriculture based on the research findings
